I think I'll get one of these. I can go catch one out of a canal.

Hrmm, don't know if i'd want inmates in my house :nilly:

Aro's, Rays, peacock bass and big dats!

i would do this below based on AZ laws,

10 silver arows
25 red hook silverdollars
25 myleus schomburgkii
20 uarus
30 geos
either 20 cichla kelberi, or 15 cichla temensis and 15 cichla pinima, or 20 azuls!
20 lima shovelnose
4 flagtails

or

1500 flame back bleeding heart tetras, 30 festivus, 30 silver hatchets, 20 crenicichla regani, and 50 silver/altum angelfish

first, i would do the first option, then if i had another 3500 tank, i would do the second option.lol

If you're going with gar, you might as well do a whole delta biotope. Get some bowfin, flathead cats, drum, buffalo, maybe even some common and alligator snappers. Like Thefishguy7 said, your ability to combine aggressive animals really opens up in such a big tank.

i would have 3 Castexi one male and two female , some asain arowanas , motoro rays , peacock or discus , girrafe catfish, niger catfish, Herichthys Pearsei

There's a lot of possibilities. Lots of good input here. My biggest concern is having fish eat or kill other fish, especially if I put my turquoise herichthys out there or my haitiensis. I'm definitely going to have some structures designed for smaller fish to get out of the reach of bigger fish.

10x Iridescent shark
18x Tinfoil barb
15x spanner barb
10x clown loach
1x fire eel? (I am not sure if it would eat spanner barbs)

I dunno how full this would look but you could always add a couple more when they are all mature if it is too empty *a grow-out tank would be helpful*

both of those would be OVERSTOCKED. Especially the first one.

I personally would have LET ME SEE (based on southeast asia river)

8x Iridescent shark
15x Tinfoil barb
10x spanner barb
10x clown loach
1x fire eel? (I am not sure if it would eat spanner barbs)

I dunno how full this would look but you could always add a couple more when they are all mature if it is too empty *a grow-out tank would be helpful*

i was being sarcastic, i was just saying that having a moderatly big amount of each of those types of fish would be cool

second one, maybe
500 flame back bleeding hearts
20 festivus
15 angels
10 crenicichla regani
and 20 silver hatchets
this would not be overstocked with amazing filtration,
we are talking about a 3500 gal tank, not a 350 gal.

second one,

2 silver arows
10 red hooks
5 limas
10 uarus
1 flag tail
6 kelberis

this defidently isnt over stocked with amazing filtration.

iridescent sharks get 4 feet and move constatly. not a good idea having 8 in a tank unless huge and rounded tank.

a eight 4 ft fish in a 12ft X 8ft tank not a good idea. good idea for a grow out for them.

3500? Hmmm maybe Rosie O'donnell and some dithers?

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

They would have to be some big dither fish ! I think that bucket mouth could swallow full grown pacu's whole.

Ah, I see. SRRY

It is kind of hard to visualize stocking big fishes into a huge aquarium. It is much easier deciding weither a 55 gallon is overstocked than 3500 gallon.
