I have a new 110 gallon setup. I had an african tank about 20 years ago but have forgotten what gets allong with what and how much you have to pack them in there. There will be lots of caves and some big texas holey rock. I have made a list of the fish I like. Would appreciate some help figuring out how many to put in there and which of these can go together without killing each other.

Pundamilia Nyereri Ruti
Eureka Red Jake Lake Malawi Aulonocara
Pundamilia nyererei "Python Island"
Pseudotropheus Saulosi
Astatotilapia sp 44 Thick Skin (Red Tail Obliquidens)
Pseudotropheus Elongatus Mpanga Elongatus Mpanga
Labidochromis Caeruleus (Lions Cove) Electric Yellow
Otopharynx Lithobates (zimbawe rock) aristo yellow blaze
Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi (Undu Reef) Lemon Jake
Cyprichromis leptosoma "Mamelessa"
Hai Reef Peacock
Xystichromis All Red Kyoga/ Kyoga Flameback
Haplochromis Sp. 35 Tomato
Astatotilapia Calliptera (Eastern Happy)

Any chance you have a photo of your setup? I'd like to see how your Pundamilia Nyererei are doing in an all male tank.

I tried nyererei in an all male tank with haps and peacocks (fail, poor color) and in a mbuna tank with mixed gender mbuna (fail, poor color and females languished over a 2-year period). I like them best in a species tank...great color. Very aggressive.

From that list, I would make it a single species, Pseudotropheus saulosi set up. 20-30 fish, dependent on filtration, and water change schedule. Sometimes the most simplistic sounding set ups, are the most awe-inspiring.
