stocking a 20 long

since you all gave great help stocking my 40 breeder I figure why not the 20 long .
would a single male convict be ok in there for life. any other ideas appreciated.

I think one convict would be fine could maybe even do a pair but a 20 is a bit small. I would personally do triple red cockatoo if you can find them, or a small group of electric blue rams with a few cardnal tetras would look awesome.

rams is a good choice ,saw a bunch of them at the lfs today..as for triple red cockatoos,that would need to be special ordered.

yeah my black cons are in a 20 long and do great...its over filtered and gets 50% water changes weekly

HRP pair would be perfect. Maybe even add some small tetras like neons or patties.

You can do a pair of cons (or other cryptoheros) in a 20 long, but be aware of aggression of the male toward the female if he wants to breed and she doesn't. I've lost a few females this way.
