Heh, I went to the LFS and I saw some strange things: I found out the cute minnows I caught in a stream that I thought were lake chub are actually rosy reds;
fathead minnows. There were a few in the feeder tank that had their wild colors.
I asked for 7 but they put 10 in the bag ... No big deal, but I am not going to "cull" the excess ones by putting them in with my tinfoil barbs. I also got a big clump of java moss. The pipsqueaks are about a centimeter. I'll keep up with my water changes to remedy the situation. The java moss might help with nitrates but it might make too many fry survive. I heard white clouds breed like rabbits or guppies.
It might not do well in an unheated tank though.
