A point of interest. I initially had my rocks running the entire length of my tank but then changed the formation to a stack at each end with some open swimming area between.
I like that idea. also, the shy ones may be hiding on the side of the tank behind rocks rather than in the back where you for sure wil not be able to see them.
I think Ill try that in a few weeks when I add a few more fish.
mjime714, I would like to suggest you look at removing those pots. They would look much better being used to house a lovely plant that you can also look at and enjoy. I believe a person should try their best at trying to recreate, as close as possible, the conditions found where your fish come from. Allows them to be more at home! This tank willlook really great once you have accomplished your goal. Please keep us update as to the progress made. I am also looking to the 500-700 litre tank for my fish. They are starting to out grow the tank they are in. All are getting rather large.
A tank looks unbeleivable when there are some fry swimming around. They are always so busy. I will take a pic of my fry tank, now housing a couple of adult fish, as 60-80 fry swimming around is something to see.
