Northern Virginia
185G 2 FX6s, 1 LG sponge, 1 AC110(may add a 40G sump for bios and to hide my heaters)

Have 1 11" Rhino Pleco
Want 1 Oscar
Want 1 Pearl Cichlid
Have (currently a large school of giant danios that I know will eventually be eaten)
Have School of 8 clown loaches 3-5 inches can be moved or sold if not compatible

Tank will have sand and river rock substrate With some Large Rocks and Large pieces of drift wood along the back.

What are a couple more options to round out this tank Maybe one more pleco and a couple Cichlid options?

EB JD ?
EB Akara?
GT?
I'd prefer some of the less common fish

TY as always

EB anything generally stay smaller and grow slower, personally I would get GT with the oscar

All 4 fish as adults (rhino pleco, oscar, gt, brasilensis) will require quite a bit of water changes to removes nitrates. A much larger sump than 40g would be better if you want to reduce amount of water changes.

well you certainly have more filtration than a 185 will ever need ... take one of those filters (probably an fx6 ) and trade it in for a few fish and another hob.. just kidding (sort of).. i like the idea of the gt.. the loaches my eventually get pretty big...

The plan in the next year or so is to set up a 10x4 tank that some of these guys can move to. Then may switch the 185h to angels or discus

40 is all that I can fit into the stand, the ac110 will be a porthos pot but I wc 50%a week on all tanks

If by pearl cichlid you mean Geophagus braziliensus (as Rocksor (I think) surmised) there may be a problem trying to house it with any Andinoacara .
They are very similar in appearance (similar blue spangling coloration, shape etc)so as mature adults, they may see each other as competitors, and try to off one another.
By the way there are about 3 or 4 other species often referred to as "pearl cichlids, depending on the terms used in your location.

I also believe the Pleco, Oscar, Loaches, and pearl cichlid (braziliensus? or any others also called pearl cichlids) as full grown adults would more than max out the 185 by themselves. In requirements of territory, and bio-load.

You assume correct, the loaches I could sell. That being said there will be a 500-700 gallon running in a year or 2.
