Yeah those are the only 2 mid sized easy to obtain cichs I could think of off the top of my head other than the Convicts, which you said you did not want.

How do you get your rare/semi rare fish in Iceland? Breeders? LFS?

I am gonna try some Grammodes, is the sci name of them Cichlasoma Grammode or Cichlasoma Grammodes?
