He acts happy, i feed them flake and pellet from from walmart its in a purple container. Also do you think if i took out the females from this stock my fish would stop nibbleing on each others fins and tails. Heres my stock list
M= male fm= female

Fm 1 fire ob peacock (breeds with dragon blood)
M 1 mixed peacock
M 1 ahli
M 1 german red peacock
M 1 tangerine peacock

Unknown 1 blue dolpin
M 1 albino red top zebra
M 1 acei

M 2 blueberry ob peacocks
2 yellows ( breeders )
2 red zebras ( breeders ) havent breed yet just got female

africans are going to fight,if you remove the females the males will start to lose color.
Try feeding them a mix of protien flake, veggie flake, blood worms, and krill fines.
That's what I feed my africans, and thy all eat quite well

i forgot to say my tank is a 55g with 2 filters one 30/60 over the back and 1 eheim canister filter. And all my fish eat fine just the one stoped eatn he was eatn good do u think he might now light the foods?

He may have been eating so the others couldn't, My fish do that every now and then,
But you should try changing their diet to what I suggested before, I'll bet they like it much better than wal-mart food. Besides some of the africans you have require a varied diet.

hey. Have u ever changed the lights on your tank to see what your fish liked best? I did have 2 bright bulbs on my tank then i changed to a coralife fixture with 2 blue bulbs in it that makes my tank look dem and blue and the love the blue bulbs when i had the brights in some fish hid and just sat around with the darker lights the all swim and play

Did your ob swell up since?
Nope, he dont have bloat, he just acts like he dont like the taste of the food he did eat it, he just stoped and niw just spits it out dont eat at all

I had that happen before. My fish was stressed out.
Once I took out the bully, he ate like a champ.

hmm could be my big red zebra bullyn and bitn my other fishs fins/tails bc i think hes tryn to breed with his female and i just added her so maybe ill get a breeding tank for them and see if that helps are red zebras often bullys?

I don't think this is said enough - The Domainant Peacock can and will stress other male peacocks to no end, even death. I've certainly seen my fair share of overstocked male peacock tanks on this site and I often wonder how long does this really last for them - 6 mo. a year maybe but eventually and especially in smaller ( less than 6' in length ) tanks it will probably happen. The sub Dom's may very well
spend most of their life hanging still at the surface - subject to constant fin nipping, stressed to the point where they barely eat and their immune systems depleet to the point of bactrial infection.
