No Mike I'm sure your tanks are all absolutely breath taking and healthy. It's was very early in the morning and my mind wasn't quite processing properly - my bad sorry ppl.

What I meant was is that multiple peacocks can present problems, I've witnessed it 1st hand with multiple Jake's in the same tank at lengths of 6 and 8'. I've seen my Dom. Euerka Red stress my Lemon, Bi-color, Red Shoulder, and Butterfly to the point of bad coloration, disease, starvation, and death. There is plenty of documented warnings about housing multiple Aulonocara in the same thank. Those warnings mirror what I've experienced. There are few absolutes in fish keeping, most compatibility issues depend on the fishes individual personalities. However, housing multiple peacocks can lead to compatibily issues - something to be aware of and hopefully avoided.

Got ya, your right on many points... I never put more than one type of each male in the tank, and try to keep similar looking types out. There are two species that I have seen that should only be species only (Aulonocara maylandi and Aulonocara kandeense).

Your also right about the fish themselves. I have taken many males out and sold them or traded them because it was not a right fit. I also keep the number of fish lower than most. These are not mbuna and putting a million in a tank is not the right idea.
