I have a 3 gallon planted tank that used to have a betta, nerite snail, and otocinclus.
the nerite snail died awhile ago, and my halfmoon betta died on sunday at 3 years old...
now it's just the lone oto. (I know, I shouldn't have a lone oto in such a small tank, but he's been fine for the past few years.)
I just have some driftwood, java fern, christmas moss, and flame moss in there.
Any suggestions on what I should put in there?

Shrimp is popular for Nano aquariums.
I personally never had them but would try them in a 3 gallon.

I already have a nano shrimp tank... heh... only has like 3 shrimp in it...
would a platy or two be fine?
or a guppy or two?
I don't think a nother betta would be too nice to the oto. The betta that just passed was raised with the oto, and always did fine with it... not to sure if a new one would be fine, I know all bettas have different personalities.

The Platy or Guppy would work.

What about some pea puffers
I'd rather not given how messy puffers are said to be...

I think some shrimp would be ideal! 10 turn into 50 in no time at all, very fun to watch and also keep the tank spotless. Would recommend :)
