Stocking Help...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that tank is a bit small for a trigger IMO, you could keep a dwarf lion in there just fine. An full size would be to big for the tanks depth (front to back)

only issue with most of the predatory fish like puffers, triggers, groupers, etc, is they get large, and a 36 inch tank is just not long enough for there active nature. Puffers with the exception, but most should not be kept in anything under 150 gallons.

a 30 gallon tank doesn't really offer much space for solitary preds (generally large)

an angler, dwarf lion, tilefish (basically a small trigger) or toby (small puffer) could work

if you would be willing to upgrade in a year or two you could get one of the smaller eels or puffer, they don't grow all that fast

oh.. my mistake..

still it's not very big dimensionally.. but you could always keep one if you can upgrade in the future...

The prob here is space... Anyother suggestions..? I thought of a radiata..but i can't find any here.. All we get are fuzzy and zebra.... Volitans are too big...

I haven't seen any eels here...

I would go with a dwarf lion in a 50..If you aquascape your tank right it could definatly be really attractive.

with good filtration yes
