well its been a few months since ive been on for more then 10 min as i have been working quite a bit. I skipped on the idea of africans because due to cost and i have 2 friends with them already lol. I currently have a 20 gal tall quarintine/growout tank. I have 1 red hump geo, a school of 6 black skirt tetras and a spotted raphael catfish. I only have them temp till the 55 is ready.
i was thinking of maybe adding a firemouth or 2 and maybe another geo? then possible some corys? What would you think would be good to add? tips and help are appreciated
 
the fish will be going into a 55 within the next week or so...just waiting for the tank to cycle
 
I cannot comment much on the compatibility of a firemouth with geos... I don't know either fish well enough too. I would say, however, that I would not add any other fish until AFTER you have already moved them to the 55 gallon... not before. If you'll be moving them in the next week or so, I'd say just wait until you move them before you add anything. You may already be saying this, of course, but its a little hard to tell for sure from your original post.

yeah i was thinking about that. my LFS have them for 2 for $12. how many G. steiny would you recomend? and any specific kind of cories that would do well?
 
what area of colorado are you from? i fly out to denver quite often and would like to visit some of the LFS while i'm out there.

cool, that's where i stay when i'm over there also. what's the best lfs? i've been to one off broadway or colfax i think. sorry for the thread jack.
 
no worries...ill pm a couple other good places
 
well my lfs is down to 3 steinys now about the same size of the one i currently have...would 3 be a good number along with the tetras, raphael cat and possibly a school of cories?
