stocking help

I know i'm over stocked but IMO not by that much.... how badly do you guys think this tanke is overstocked.... and yes I know there will be a lot of aggression that is why I overstocked it, can this tank work in bioload terms not aggression

7" Buttikoferi
6" Jaguar
10" Green Terror
2 x 3" Convicts

The tank is a 150 gallons with a footprint of 72" x 18"....... aggression is fine they all dish a little out on each other and usually they just chase a little, no jaw locking at all. Every once in a while i see a little piece of a tail fin missing but nothing worh worrying about. Just for the record though.... Buttikoferi are not as tough as everyone says they are, my Trimac was in a temporary holding tank with the buttikoferi. Both are similar size, the trimac being slightly bigger. Trimac beat the butti so bad I had to move it right away. There was another thread before about glass bangers.... well I think Trimacs take the cake.

Your tank is not that overstocked but buttikoferi and Jaguars both get pretty damn big and they are the only fish I would be worried about.

imho i dont think you are overstocked..just make sure there is tons a filtration on the tank, yes the jag a butti do get bigggg...there will be major aggession between them..and ime with GT's they are pretty laid back not too aggressive, but i have seen some agro ones too. hopefully he has balls to be with a jag and butti

would there be a good way to spread out aggression???? maybe add some more small cichlids like a firemouth or more cons???? I have tried silver dollars and others before in my other tank..... the Trimac killed them all in no time. I finally solved all my problems and put my Trimac alone in a 75 gallon because he doesn't want to make friends with anyone. First killed his significant other. Then killed two cons and a red devil which was way bigger then him.(red devil death happend yesterday) I truly hate this fish LOL although I can't even think of giving him away, people are fascinated when they see how colourful he is and his girth. Looks as fat as he is long lol seriousy for people who want a really bad ass fish, who will kill anything in the tank, including your limbs.... TRIMAC is the fish your looking for.

Your not overstocked, but your going to have agression coming out of your ass. My suggestion: trade the butti for a less aggro cichlid like a jack dempsey. If your not cool for that, adding some dithers *might* help.

keep in mind that "none" of the fish listed will be able to compare to the jaw strength and shell crushing ability of the butti. however i've "heard" of some butti's not being "to overly aggressive". just my 2cents. what kind of decor you got in there? or is it barebottom?

I have sand as substrate..... there is pieces of driftwood and some articificial ornaments in the tank. As of right now my butti is the biggest baby in the tank. One of the biggest fish but is the only one who is actually taking a beating. Its a female, would that have anything to do with it??? are males more aggressive???
