thanks everybody... one last question about the angels
how many?

In a 20 or 29 I would just get one unless you have accommodations if things get rough. Remember Angelfish are cichlids so even if they aren't the 'monsters' that are frequently seen here, they do get rough. With two, if they don't pair up one will likely pick on the other and a 24-30" long tank isn't enough to help with that. With three, the chances of forming a pair are higher but you need to be able to get the third out fast if that happens, because he will be beaten up quickly by the pair.

Also, if you get Angel(s) get a 20 high or 29...a 20 long doesn't provide enough vertical space for them to reside comfortably.

alright. thakns

thanks** sorry

How about a Parrot cichlid? Its about as unusual as you can get...a single one in a 29G wouldnt be a bad size, but I wouldnt go less than the 29G. They usually get between 5-7". A black background, some Ecocomplete plant substrate or original flourite....maybe some dark driftwood or black lava rock and some nice green plants would make an impressive display against the red fish.

parrot cichlids can get to 15" and not suited for a 29 gallon tank

All reference Ive ever seen for them states that 7" is the absolute maximum for them, Ive had a male for years and hes between 6-7". Now I know that King Kong Parrots do get up to 14" or so...but a normal everyday petsmart(example) BP would be totally fine IMO in a 29G.
