Stocking ideas for 45g Tall - Planted -

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How about some pencil fish or halfbeaks. A school of them wood be really cool and I think they will take pellets and flakes.

An electric blue acara would be a really stunning center piece as well but they may mess around with the plants a bit

Tanks full of your livebearer of choice are always very enjoyable. In my experience a breeding pair of rainbow cichlids do wonderfully in a planted setup if you dont mind the occasional batch of fry. Also they are quite peaceful with any other community fish I've had them with even when spawning. They will keep others away from their babies but never do any real harm.

If you are looking at apisto's, I think my favorites are the redneck mcmasteri's. I only have "double red" agassizi's, but those are pretty damn cool too.

Also, I was just at the wetspot 2 weeks ago looking at all the apisto's they have listed online in person, and I can confirm that each and every one of them are good looking fish, so you can't go wrong from that list.
