Im planning to get a tank 6'x2.5'x2' (LXWXH)

Here's the stocking list:
-Silver Arowana 12"
-7" Tiger Oscar
Red Bellied Pacu
Pleco
- Maybe 8" Peacock Bass( I havent bought this guy yet..)
- 6/7" TSN catfish ( this is still not mine yet..)

Well that's all what do you guys think? I wanna make it look as nice as possible.. so here are questions/ideas
1- No hood because i think its ugly... I think I'll use glass sheets that can be locked to cover the tank.
2- The lights im sill not sure... Guys can anyone suggest the cheapest and most effective way to light up a 6 foot long tank? maybe a DIY light that just sits on part of the glass sheet?
3- Filtration- sump or canister? If sump, what is the best size tank to use?
4- Amazon themed- Plan to make a polystyrene tree and roots on the left side of the tank.. the roots serve as hiding places. will post what i drew during class today lol... and planning to use sand and to make it really amazon themed... dried leaves on the bottom.. For using dried leaves what do I have to look for?

Thanks your comments will be much appreciated~ :headbang2

I would skip on the Pacu, the tank isn't going to be big enough for it. I would also skip on the arowana, I wouldn't keep one in anything smaller than an 8' tank.

cmon guys need more ideas here... im planning to make something like this but the bark will be larger...

I'd leave out the pacu and the tsn...as for the issue with the lid...what thickness is the glass you will use

Why?? I mentioned earlier ill skip the pacu... but the TSN... i think ill keep it for a while they look so cute(i know i know theyll grow big and blah) and i loove catfish a lot and my LFS just got they're first TSN's so i just wanna grab one so badly

I decided not to use glass as a hood... discussed with another guy that day and glass may break and injure...So he suggested using aluminium as a hood? good enough?
