I have the opportunity to redo my 75G tank and am looking for some stocking suggestions. I always wanted large, colorful, cichlids but I dont know what will work in a 75G. I like the colors of JDs and green terrors but I'd like some experienced suggestions.

IMO GTs look cool when they get bigger and the orange on their fin really shines, but small ones look goofy. JDs look good at a much smaller size. I would say either will work in a 75 as long as you do not plant to keep a colony. I am not too sure on mixing them together. GTs get a little bigger. Both are diggers, so I wouldn't have any plants.

My Flowerhorn had to be kept alone, which got old. Red Tigers (motaguense) are cool looking fish, but I do not know much about them about them. I have heard they can be kept with other fish much better than Flowerhorns can be.

Depends on the RTM. I've had some that did well in communities, but majority were killing machines.

I think a 75 can only hold a group of CA/SA for so long then once they get larger it becomes a nice solo tank :)

It depends on the size and aggression of the fish and the aquascaping.

Definitly!!! But most ca/sa get 10 inches and bigger. I couldnt see 3 or 4 big fish in there unless they were all non aggressive.

plus just not fair to the fish to be all cramed up like that!!

One awsome fish is the way to go.
