Hey guys,
if you have any ideas for a group of fish for my 80l tank, preferably fish from the Amazon river, because that is what my tank is dedicated to, include plants too if you want. Cheers.

flora: echinodorus tennelus (if you have good lighting and dosage), maybe some floating plants? A nice big amazon sword is a must too, Ambulia (limnophila sessiliflora) even though i'm pretty sure it doesn't originate there, it's found in the amazon nowadays.

Fauna: A pair of angels (no more as your tank's quite small)
Corydoras, a shoal of tetras (Buenos Aires Tetra's are nice and they grow to a substantial size.) Otto's, ancistrus, the list goes on...

thanks joe, i want some amazon sword, of course its a must. and i was thinking cabomba because the leaves a very thick. i do have a pair of angels at the moment and a BN pleco. I was planning to get ottos but theyre not very cheap in NZ so maybe not... i have corydoras and was thinking on rummy nose tetras.
cheers for the reply

x2 on the Buenos Aires Tetra's suggestion, I would also add Hyphessobrycon Colombianus (Columbian Tetra) as well. A group of 6-8 look great and do not need the room of rummynose but get about 2"-2.5" as adults. I have a school of 8 in my 125g and they're great.

Thanks guys, Might add some cichlids but currently I have 2 angels so not sure about that either. Though i might move those to another tank. Unfortunately in New Zealand we have very limited fish choices, we dont have any shrimp either. I havent seen any Columbian Tetras, but there are alot of Buenos Aires Tetras and Rummy Noses, But the Rummy Noses are $9.90 each... Cheers for the replies though.

Seriously $9.90 each for rummynose? They are like 5 for $10 or less in some LFS here on US soil. Sorry man... I would go with the Buenos Aires Tetras then.

Yeah I guess, but i love rummy noses and will end up getting them at some point haha. Probably about 8 of them, they do a 4 for $38 at my LFS so i guess thats the only way to go. Even on TradeMe (equivelant to Ebay or Amazon) there arent any fish that I'd like to buy. Buenos Aires Tetra are about $4.50 each.

~BUMP!~
