Stocking Ideas for a 65G Tank

to have that setup you wouldn't need it half full...just build something onto the back so plants can hang over it
 
If your looking for color and not rare, or big. I would honestly do a few schools of tetras and dwarf cichlids with a school of corys. And a nice pleco or whiptail...which would look pretty awesome even with low light plants imo.
 
A saxtilis-type pike (lepidota or one of the other spangled ones) , 3-4 turqouise rainbows, and a group of diamond tetras. Do a bit of rock work, low light, and some anubias.
