Hi guys,

I have had a break from fish keeping for about 2 years, and diving back in. I have been a marine fish keeper for years. I have kept all manner of weird and wonderful species. I have also kept a few speacialst tropical freshwater tanks. I am picking up a new 360L (95 US gal) tank next weekend. I have an idea of what I want to stock. Please advise me on this.
5 x silver dollars
5 x climbing perch/spotted bush fish Ctenopoma acutirostre
1 x red/rainbow wolf fish Erythrinus erythrinus
1 x rocket gar Ctenolucius Hujeta
1 x armoured bichir Polypterus delhezi
1 x plec

All fish will be added at approximately the same size (3 inches) to hopefully to avoid any issues.

Dimensions of your tank would be helpful. I'll assume its a 48"x18"x24".

I would for sure go with some of the smaller growing silver dollars, or even a larger group of smaller growing schooler like congo tetras, rosy barbs, or denison barbs.

The only other thing i would say is start stocking with either the africans or south americans, then later decide if you want to add the other fish. Like maybe start with the ctenopoma and bichir then build from there. Just what i would do.

Thanks for the reply, its 60" x 24" x 16". Yes, I will add in stages. Was going to add Erythrinus erythrinus 1st and then the Ctenopoma . I don't foresee any issues with the overall stock but thought I would check with the experts!

Oh nice tank. Nevermind what i said about the silver dollars they should have plenty of room in there.

I am collecting this on Saturday, empty. Adding my own substrate {sand} , 3d background, slate, bog wood and planted and power head for surface flow. Twin air pump and aquamanta efx600 filter. May add a second filter as fish get bigger. Going to add the fish in 3 batches ,leaving 10 days between each stocking. Does this sound acceptable?

I suggest quarantine each group before adding to the main aquarium. No need to add meds but reassuring that all fish will be healthy.

Will be stocked on the heavy side, may be pushing it a little bit, but if you keep on top of maintenance and do a large WC every week, may be fine. Keep an eye on the red wolf, they seem to be a toss-up as to whether they bite tankmates or not. But are awesome fish.
The tank does look nice with that custom stand
