I saw a deal I couldn't turn down and now I have to decide what to do with it all. I picked up 8 fully setup ten gallon tanks, each with it's own AC50 filter, heater and hydro sponge pro filter. I'm not accustomed to tanks this small and would love some stocking ideas. Or, should I try and trade all of that stuff for a single larger tank (40-60g maybe), fully set up? I'm just curious to hear some thoughts/ideas from other hobbyists, as I don't know what my next step is gonna be yet.

Sell everything and get a bigger tank

It's all used stuff. It's all in really good condition, but not new. Good to know the filters cost that much new tho. That gives me an better idea of the value.

But I guess my thought to trade may not be a bad idea, given I found the right person looking for that many 10g's lol.

start some kind of breeding project.

Thought about that, but breeding isn't really my thing. I also have no other fish at the moment as I just moved, so nothing worth raising fry for. I'd love to come across a breeder looking to get rid of a larger tank for 8 smaller ones.

sell the setup ten gallons for 75 dollars each and boom buy a cheap used tank with that. http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/six-f...k-vivarium-reptile-tank-with-stand/1035674715 something like this but with that money you can go bigger. maybe score a dollar per gallon tank that is used.

The more I look, there's really nothing I'm interested in that can fit into a 10g, for life. I like SA cichlids, maybe that helps? I'm not familiar with the dwarf cichlids.

I think for now, I'll probably get half the tanks up and running and consider selling the rest to pay for fish. Anyone looking for 10g fry tanks in the Northeast, pm me, I'd be willing to go lower then $75 a tank/setup, especially if buying more than one.

Since you said you have eight 10G tanks, which i presume are all exactly the same looks and dimension wise? Have you considered maybe building a bridge between each tank and have all 8 tanks inter-connected between each other?

There were some videos floating around youtube, and even on here where people built special water bridges using very easy to find materials...

That way you could have each tank as a basic planted tank with maybe just Anubias or something with a fine substrate, and lots of small community fish which can dart around between the spaces?
