Stocking ideas or trade? 8 ten gallon tanks

I did think about the "bridge" between tanks idea, I'm pretty handy, but I don't think I want to take that one on.

I'm gonna have to look into dwarf cichlids more. If anyone has suggestions they know will work in a 10g, I'd appreciate you passing along the species names. I'm guessing a single pair of dwarf cichlids along with 3-4 livebearers or smaller tetras would be ok, anyone know? I'm not interested in breeding the cichlids, so I'd prefer something that eats it's own fry/young.
 
That would be cool. Use clear PVC.

There were some videos floating around youtube, and even on here where people built special water bridges using very easy to find materials...

That way you could have each tank as a basic planted tank with maybe just Anubias or something with a fine substrate, and lots of small community fish which can dart around between the spaces?

I hit the lfs today for some ideas. I ended up liking Rams the most as far as colors and finnage goes. I was told a breeding pair with 3-4 dither fish would be ok for my 10g setup, true? I liked the Cockatoo Dwarf Cichlids the most, but found after some research, I would need a larger tank. I have to look into Apistogrammas more.

There's no way I'm doing tunnels, I'll be moving in about 2 years. There's no way I want to dismantle and put that back together lol.
 
Multiple dwarf puffer tanks in every room in the house. Id do it because they really are that interesting.
