I have 1 Kigoma Frontosa, 2 angelfish, 1 blood parrot, 1 BGK, 1 palmas bichir, 3 lace catfish, 1 upside down catfish, and two turquoise rainbowfish in my 90 gallon tank.

The tank looks very bare and I don't know what fish to add to liven up the tank and make it more interesting. And I am worried about compatibility.

...I don't like what I call 'filler fish' like most live-bearers, labyrinth fish, cyprinds, characins, and killfishes.

I feel like all of the cool fish are all too aggressive or HUGE and require like 300+ gallons

I picked out these few, and was wondering if they were peaceful enough for my set-up:
Rainbow Cichlid
Blue Acara
Port Acara
Bolivian Ram
Krib
Armoured/Delhez's Bichir
Different kinds of Apistogramma

Do you have any other ideas of fish that I could add to my tank currently?
When it comes to adding more fish I feel like I haven't got a clue what's out there :nilly:

Hate to be the first to say this but your stock list is already pushing the limits of a 90. The BGK will get upwards of 18" the bichir will get around 12 and same for the tosa. Your angles are pretty muched doomed and your keeping african cichlids with CA/SA cichlids. Dont get anything else. Also think about keeping either CA/SA Cichlids or Africans not both. Or get another tank, but don't keep them in the same tank as they require different water conditions and parameters.

Yeah, I know - I bought these fish when I didn't know anything about fish and threw them all together. My BGK isn't going to grow anymore, you don't want to KNOW what it's been though, I'm surprised it's not dead. How fast do frontosa grow??
What do you think I should take out of the tank?

i would recommend giant danio, it brings your fish tank to life.

Do you still have the pacu and are the aro and ornate still coming?

Well as I said before I personally would not keep CA/SA Fish with African Rift Lake Species. I would take out the tosa because they do better in groups of 6 or more and a group of 6 tosa is waaaaaaay to much for a 90. Also as for fish not growing to their full potential.... I have never really found that to hold any truth. You said its been through a lot but I once had a tire track "eel" that escaped the tank several times and I literally thought he had died once but it still grew to 21" before I had to sell him. So just because the BGK has had a rough life does not mean his growth has been stunted. Although you can still keep the BGK you will just have to upgrade tank/ sell the fish when it out grows your tank.

I got rid of the pacu because I thought it would've been too mean to keep in in such a little tank. And I wasn't going to get an ornate or an aro until I get a bigger tank b/c I think that would have been cruel also. And now I have all of these fish stuck together that all have different requirements & don't want that. I want to put them in better homes and put together the right fish so I can provide the right requirements for them.....I need a bigger tank :(

If I could put 3 fronts max in a 6' long 135gal tank...then would I need a 200 gallon for 6 fronts?
