Looking for either a single or a pair of 'Show Fish' for my 75g pleco tank.

Current Stock: 1 Sailfin, 2 Clowns, 7 Bristlenose soon to be a breeding group (hopefully).

Perimeters: 78-79 Degrees, PH 8.2, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 0-5ppm nitrate.

I am hoping to have add a bit of color in the water column that would make this tank more enjoyable to view from across the room. Ideally something that wouldnt do much if any damage to the breeding group and their fry.

Ph is a bit high for angelfish but if you can source some locally bred angels they should be use to your local water source and they would be a good addition...many colours to choose from

Yup 8.4 to 8.5 always in our area and hard.

There are a couple importers our shops are used to working with pretty much every pet store in our area is in the same boat. Great success from Chicago area for instance, horrible from Florida.

I'd love some Angels, never kept them before, think they would leave the plecos alone?

Angelfish and dwarf Pleco's make excellent tankmates, i have them myself. Would be concerned about PH with both really but as pointed out if they've been raised locally in that range it should be fine. Is the sailfin pleco Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps? They do get pretty huge eventually if so but probably take a long time to get there.

I don’t think they will bother the pleco at all

Yes it is. Hit 12in inside a year, hasnt grown much since then tho, maybe a half inch in the last 4-5 months.

Thanks everyone for the info, picked up two golden marbles and 2 blacks this weekend from a local who was at 8.4 also! Waited years for these guys and so glad I went with them!
