Stocking ideas

I currently have a 40 gallon breeder, it’s fully cycled, the PH is at 7.0 and the temp is set at 26 degrees, in the aquarium I currently have;
1 male juvenile Firemouth
6 Buenos Aires tetra
Could anyone suggest anything else to put in this tank, haven’t got any preferences so any suggestion helps.

I'd say you're pretty decently stocked regarding top dwellers, if I were to add anything I'd add a catfish around 4 inches or so. Perhaps a raphael catfish.

Will get a bit bigger than 4inches. Some corys might be the way to go.

You are correct, my apologies, they grow so slowly that I forget their max size is bigger than the 4 inches mine are at. Hmm, perhaps some bumblebee catfish?
