stocking levels

ok thank you everyone who replied. now another factor tho that i thought of, this might not even matter but i have had succes with it when adding realy aggresive cichlids in a cichlid tank is adding your super agressive fish in last so that when they enter the tank most the terratory is taken and it tones down there attitude towards the other fish cuz they are the new guy...am i wrong?
 
Your not wrong, but that is a hit or miss situation. It's better to do his as juveniles, but when your talking about fish that are already matured, the aggression won't matter when you add them - the other fish will defend their territories, and cause them to fight even sooner.
 
I'm definately not a stock nazi, I love it when tanks are a little bit over stocked (as you can see in my signature.)

If you're not having problems in your tank now; leave it like that. Festaes are nasty buggers, especially if they pair off.
