Hi I want opinions on my stocking list. It is for a 55 gal. With a Aquatech powerfilter for 30-60 gal and a eheim pro 2 2026 for up to 92 gal. My tap water ph is 5.8 and very soft.
I was thinking about : 8 German Blue Rams
10-14 Marbled Hatchet
10-14 Rummynose tetra
4 Festivums
But as I read the festivums will get 6-8 inches and eat smaller fish possibly. So my next stock list is this
8 German Blue Rams
10-14 Marbled Hatchet
10-14 Rummynose tetra
3 Apistogramma Panduro (1 male, 2 female)
So how is my 2nd stock, assuming the Festivums won’t work.

I like the second list but add a dozen pygmy corys and a dozen lemon tetras or glolights.

I would go with something like;

10-14 Marbled Hatchet (top)
10-14 Reticulata Cory (bottom)
10-14 Rummynose tetra (mid)
10-14 Bleeding Heart Tetra (mid)
3 German Blue Rams (trio)
3 Bolivian Rams (trio)
3 Apistogramma Panduro (trio)
3 Apistogramma Cacatoide (trio)
1 Centipede Knife ~ If you can find one.
A fancy pleco, or two..

Lots of hiding spots :) .. Would be an awesome display, I plan on doing something similiar with a 48g bowfront, fully planted.

Just wondering could I use Biospira to cycle my tank with those fish or would they die?

I like Miles set up just be sure like he said to have plenty of hidding spaces and dont lump them too close together so they can have their own territory. Ive use bio spira a couple of time on sensitive/relativly expensive fish like apisto. borelli, emperor tetras, and lazer corys. I also used it with no probs on a 180 African peacock display tank all show males the owner was a little neverous but the marineland rep backed his product and i wouldnt use anything else now.

Someone said that I should get 6-7 rather than 10-14 for the first four because 10-14 is to many. And that I can't have 12 dwarf Cichlids , they will get very aggressive and territorial when breeding. What do you guys think. This is refering to Miles list btw.
