Alright i have a new 120, cycled and has my common pleco in it. I needed some stockin suggestons. I definetly want:
Royal pleco
Galaxy pleco
And some eel like fish(possibly ropefish or some eel)

For my main fish my thoughts were discus, geos, or a sa cichlid comm. filtration is a rena xp3 and 2 aqueon 55/75. Post up any suggestons you have. Thanks

I wouldn't personally keep discus with plecos but that's just me. Plecos love current and crap a ton and discus are not fond or do well with either, so someone is not gonna be happy.

My 135 has 5 loricariids and I have 6 rose lines and a few Cichlid grow outs. Current loving fish would be my choice.

+1

I am assuming the 120 is a 5'?

I am going with something simple for my 125 6' tank. It will just be 6 geophagus red heads and 4 severum of varying sizes.

With the eel and the pleco being mostly bottom dwellers, geos would work, but would probably be pretty tight for a group. A single brasiliensis would work out well. If you go the solo geo route, I highly recommend a SA community tank. Bottom would be full with the plecos, eel and geo. Middle/top options are 3 severum (4 if its a 6'), 6 festivum, 8-10 angelfish, or a combination of the three. Angelfish might be a substitute for the discus as they are more tolerant of water conditions. I tried angels and they were not as fun as I had hoped, which is why I am sticking with the severums. I love festivum almost as much as severum, but can't find healthy ones locally. :(

And you could make a little room for a groups of 15+ dithers depending in what you leave out.

Thanks all for help. I think i have made my choice. I will probly do somthin like mythic figment said, with some larger active sa cichlids as real showpeices and maybe a school of tetras. Would i be able to house the royal, galaxy, and common in this tank?

You could do all three plecos and the eel with no problems and still be able to do the large SA cichlids. Are you going to donate the pleco when it hits around 16-18"?

Not sure what i will do with the common if it gets too big. Maybe trade it in at the pet store

That is fairly common. Other alternatives are contacting a public aquarium that has a freshwater tank or tanks. You can also poke around locally to see if there is someone with a pond could take it. :) Just food for thought, but you probably have years to worry about that.

I rescued a 12" common that lives in our 300 and he's put on about 5" or so in the last year. We were pretty sure he was stunted but he's gotten bigger for sure.

One of our more personable and outgoing fish. Always on the move around the tank
