Now what do you guys think abot the eel like fish? Ropefish? Some kind of actual eel? Will these be fine with plecos?

I recall telling you elsewhere, but yes, ropefish are completely fine with plecos and they are amazing fish.

An eel should be fine. Don't know anything about ropefish, so can't comment there.
