Cherry shrimps and crystal reds. The latter is a little trickier to keep as they prefer soft acidic water. If you're ready to try the latter, then go for it but they're a tad more expensive than the former and less hardy. Cherry shrimps are easier to breed. Allow 10 of them per gallon and be sure not to overfeed as overfeeding only increases the chances of planaria appearing everywhere and kill the shrimps. There are plenty of shrimp species but most are predatory even with other shrimp species, too big or can crossbreed and not everyone appreciates the hybrid species in the invert world so be careful with what you get.
