I would say that stock sounds fine, the only issue is that you don't want a jewel cichlid pair or to males. Two females are the best bet, if I were you I would do the leopard bush fish and an African knife instead of the jewels.
don't have any in my local area rip. I will try my best to find two female jewels thnx.

I recently read an article online about having a west african biotope aquarium. He focused on the Congo River and his 190 litre had 6 african red eye tetras, 6 congo tetras, some upside-down catfish and a leopard bush fish.
There isn't much info about african red-eye tetras but they seem to be in at my lfs so I will have a go at those. And congo tetras are also in my lfs. Upside down catfish look interesting and leopard bush fish are not available at my lfs which is a pity.
So all in all
6 african red eye tetras
6 congo tetras
2 jewels
3 cuckoo catfish
Is that alright?
As for the cat fish there are varing tales of size on that particular one. I've kept them, I'm keeping them, and my lfs breeds them. All the ones I've had or seen adults of at the lfs reach a max of 5-6" so not to big. Lots of synodontis cats can get really large. The cuckoo or multipunctatus are one of the few that like to group up. That said any time I've gotten 3 2 always gang up on 1 and kill it. 5 or more and it seems no one is singled out. Your thank is to small for 5 multis and deffinately to small of 3 6" in about a year and a half. All though if it's what I have seen and believe is a true multi then you probably have more like 3-4 years before the 5-6" mark. I have a gold nigrita that hit 6" in like 6 months which seems more in line with the larger species. If you want smaller synodontis get petricola also very tolerant of conspicifics. But in either case with what you are looking at I'd start looking for at least a 75g tank for the near future.
