I am currently building a 240 gallon plywood tank to house my other fish when they get larger. It is almost finished. Hopefully I will have it completed and cycled in about a month or two. I was wondering what to stock it with. Currently I have a 75 gallon with a common pleco, 2 oscars, and a firemouth. I also have a 55 with a midas and texas with 3 silver dollars. I keep thinking about stocking ideas. I don't know if i should put all these together in the 240 or even if they will all get along. Maybe i will keep one in the 75 and one in the 55 and add something else to the 240. Maybe i will breed convicts and use as feeders in the 55. Not sure what to do.

:clap:Congrats on the 240...

Your Convict 55/breeder sounds perfect...As for the 240, it's pretty big...Here's what I'd do:

240 Tinfoil barbs, Oscars, Texas, Firemouth, Pleco
75 Midas Devil Showcase
55 Convict breeder

I agree! That sounds like a cool tank! You could also throw in a Aro and a Clown Knife! It would be cool to add a Jaguar! You would have a pretty active tank full of monsters!

Are you taking pics of your process building the 240G?
Best of luck and cant wait to see the finished product!:headbang2

thanks for the ideas. I wish i had taken pics of the progress, but i didn't. My fiancee and i just finished puting in the glass. It is an exciting project. I would of took pics but when i was out in the garage building it, i would get to involved. Oh i'll get the camera later, i would tell my self. I have been seriously thinking of getting of getting an arowana, but i think in the long run the tank will be to small. If this goes well, you can be sure that i will be building a bigger one in the future.
