Ok since I just lost my Mota I have been rethinking my stocking for the 125. Do you think a Veija Synspilum or Veija Zonatus will do fine with the Carpintis and Jag? I have never kept any Veija and they seem to be quite the fish so I want to get one from Rapps. What do ya think guys?

Well I don't have my jag yet but my carpintis is a absolute killer and tank destroyer. He rips all the plastic plants in his QT tank to little shreads. He's about 3.5 inches. I will be getting my Jag from Rapps along with sometype of Veija ( Zonatus or Synspilum) They will all be around the 4 inch mark. My mota just died which was supposed to be in the new 125 but I left for vacation and came home to him belly up ( sister sprayed tank with Lysol because it was dirty 
). The only thing is my Carpintis is extremely shy around me and won't come out. Or do guys think I should go with my original stocking and get another Mota?

I find 125 to be small actually. Anything under 180 is small to me lol. Once you get one it's like this isn't that big. Reason I am asking is because I have never kept Veija before so I am looking for people with experience and know what will go on in the tank. I have heard some Horror stories about Zonatus though. Are they really that aggressive?
I have a Vieja Regani in with my africans. He seems to get along with them pretty well. Not too aggresive but holds his own.
I wouldnt put a Motagunse and Jaguar together that could have a bad ending. I think a Zonatus would look nice with a Jaguar and Texas but watch out cause Zonatus can be NASTY.

Yeah I heard Zonatus are nasty. So a Zonatus would be a good choice, thats cool. I love Zonatus they are my favorite of the Veija's. I think my Carpinte will definately be able to hold his own against the Zonatus. Just another thought though would a Amphilophus Facetum aka Argentina Chanchito instead of the Zonatus do well? I probably won't do this but I am just thinking lol.
