stocking question

i hav a 125 and i am looking for midwater fish i have decided on either
1.)
a male/female pair of true parrot cichlids
6 common silver dollars
2.)
4 or 5 geophgus steindernachi
4 or 5 acarychthis heckelii

looking for some opinions on what would work better, be more fun, be more pleasing

I like #2 because it allows for more fish, but you might be able to get lets say, some of the geos and/or heckelli with the parrot if you go with a solo specimen

i have 1 gold severum right now that they would go in with too, but if i got the parrots, i would sell the sev

I would go with the first option because, parrots are a very magnificant and rarely kept cichlid and the silver dollars would offer great movement to the setup. Although you may find the second option more interesting as you can observe all kinds of different behaviour amongst the geophagus.

those are exactly my thoughts. i think they would both be interesting, but the parrots may be more fantastic to watch

I'd be on the side of the 6 silver dollars. Very under rated fish imo, would create great midwater movement with a good shine to catch the eye
