Stocking Question....

I had pearsei, zonatus and argentea together in a 150. Got all from Don Conkel as 2" youngsters, they were all fine until they reached about 6-8" when territorial disputes over spawning sites began to erupt, because there were enough of each for pairs to occur.
A 240 might work with few fish, but I believe you'd need to rearrange the decor and add them altogether as if new. At this point the argentea probably owns the tank, and any new arrival would be at a disadvantage.

I had an Argentea in a 75G with a bifasciatus & black belt. The Argentea was much more aggressive than the others. He even attacked my power head by ramming into it constantly.

i think it could work,but remember some of the fish sizes you mentioned,they are not adults yet.post#11 mentioned 6-8 inches when he had problems,the sex of your fish may or may not become an issue.your peaceful smaller cichlids may not remain that way,try it with a back-up plan.i have heard good things about pearsei and bocourti for tankmates

Every fish in the tank is male. So pairing and spawning will not happen. The argentea doesn't really. OSS any one around but the red hooks and even then it's just a quick 1-2 second chase no nipping or anything.

The tank is pretty bare with only 1 piece of driftwood in the tank that hangs down from the top so there isn't a whole lot to claim

If they have a good chance of tolerating one another i will most likely end up getting a Pearsei and a Zonatus.

But like i said every fish in the tank is a male so no pairing or spawning possibilities. Think this has a good chance to be peaceful?
