Stocking question

It probably would if it the chance. Just so slow growing and lazy to eat. Always hiding. That's all. I'm sure if the pike or needle nose gar just laid down on the bottom it would eat it.

Whoops, forgot about my clown knife. He's about 7" another one that I know I won't be able to keep forever, but he's growing slowly enough that I have time to consider future options.
What other fish could I add? It IS getting to the point that I need to remove some of the smaller fish in the coming months (the congos and gouramis specifically). The angels still have some time as they are huge. But what else could go in the tank? The only thing I don't like about polys are that they are bottom dwellers so the rest of the tank looks empty. Any ideas?

Nope, you are describing my weeksii to a tee. My weeksii is 13" and was doing well with a little 3" bala shark in the 300. The bala would have grow with no issues had I not added an endli, lol.

well I only have one experience to share since I don't feed live, but a bala shark I was trying to grow out seemed to have broke its back and couldn't control its swimming obviously, so assuming he wouldn't make it more then a week, I put him in the big tank, and next day the weeksii has a nice lump in her stomach. So she beat the other bichirs, curu, sun cat, and odoe, but again this is only a one time experience so maybe she got lucky lol
