I have a 6ft 150 gallon tank with:
1x Black Ghost Knife
3x Electric Blue Acara
5x Geophagus Topajos

I want to add another species of cichlid to my tank, i thinking of going with one or three firemouths if that would work. Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

For cichlids, festivums or angels. My preference would be dithers like some sort of shoaling wide bodied tetra like colombian in numbers greater than 10.

I tried corydoras in there for about a week and I did not like then they added to much activity. Also its funny my geos seem thing thet are electric bkue acaras becsuse they swimm with them and followe them everywhere. There has been no signs of aggression in terms of a geo attacking an acara. But when I first got the geos in the acara harrased them for the first day.

Well no dithers then since you don't like that much activity. Festivums and angels are your best bet to fill out the mid-top level.

Would hatchets work? They aren’t the most active schooler but full out the top nicely.
