I have a 30 gallon tank and have been cycling for 3 weeks and everything has tested well. Now to the fun part, what do I stock?

2 clownfish probably ocellaris
1 Valentini Puffer
Banded Shrimp
Choc Starfish

What I'm most concerned about is the puffer. Do you guys think it will work with this setup?
Also, if this checks out how do you recommend I introduce the fish?

Well i have a 29 with 1 valentini, 1 clown, and 1 scooter dragonet and everything is working out. You can do the 2 clown but they do get aggressive with each other. Look at some gobies like a yellow watchman or something, they are cool. I would really not advise a choc star as I believe they eat corals and the shrimp may get picked on/eaten by the puffer. You could do like a pencil urchin as an invert with some big narcissus snail that are bigger than the puffer. Also how much live rock and sand do you have?

Well, I dont have any corals and don't plan on it. What about if I did 1 clownfish, a couple damsels, and a valentini? I'm not really too high on having a sea urchin, but really want to have some invert like a star or shrimp. I got an inch depth of sand and 20lbs of live rock

I'm going to scratch the puffer because I want to keep some inverts. Here is my updated list

2 Clowns
2-3 Damsels
Choc Starfish
Banded Shrimp

I guess you could do that. With that you could also get a goby of some sort that stays under 4in. Also I would add at least 10 more lbs of love rock as that is your main filtration and it is good to have at least 1 lb. per gallon. Then if you are going to just get those inverts you can always get more like crabs and stuff. Hope this helps..

The two clowns, the chocolate starfish, and the banded shrimp should get along, but the 2-3 damsels will most likely fight each other, and their tank mates.

I agree, 3 chromis 1 clown and some inverts, should be fun :). Just make sure to add fish slowly. Do the clown first and let him chill for 3 weeks or so and make sure your levels are cool. Then do the chromis. After they have settled in and levels are still cool do the star, levels again, then the shrimp.
