Stocking Questions

I agree, 3 chromis 1 clown and some inverts, should be fun :). Just make sure to add fish slowly. Do the clown first and let him chill for 3 weeks or so and make sure your levels are cool. Then do the chromis. After they have settled in and levels are still cool do the star, levels again, then the shrimp.

+1 on acclimation process...

Always do Chromis over damsels. Chromis are more peaceful and less of a hassle to catch when breaking down a tank. Damsels are aggressive and dart around quickly inside your live rock if you ever need to move them...just a major pain in the butt. You could do both clowns if you wanted, just make sure you get them when they are smaller that way they haven't sex changed yet. Your invert could be added at any time, however i would save him for a bit later... You might want to invest in some nassaria, blue/red tip hermits, and some mexican turbo snails before getting the shrimp however. Just for a stable clean up crew. Choco stars are not my favorite by far, and because my tank is reef. I never recommend them......that being said, if you have no intentions of keeping coral. All the best he will work well with that set up. Good idea getting rid of the puffer though, he would likely eat all or most of your inverts.

My valentini hasn't eaten my snail :) or atleast I don't think so......
