Hi I will be building a large-ish tank (compared to some on here) in the next year. I was planning on around 1500 gallons at around 3ft wide in your standard glass in the form of a 'U' or 'L' shape. However Ive just seen JohnPTC's tanks and they seem to be built in stone with a glass front, more like a swimming pool. This has really caught my attention and I think I would prefer my big tank to be like this. My initial thought would be to get the 3 sides with empty windows at the front. Then I would probably need the insides painted in something.
I have not done any research at all on this kind of build so have a few questions for anyone who may have experience;
1. is this fees-able?
2. if I had a 10k budget in mind, with filtration/Plumbing for auto water changes, what size would I be looking at?
3. Would you recommend this kind of build over a normal Glass build?
I will think of more questions as I go but size will depend on the size of the garage/outhouse when we eventually get this new house
