Stonefish / Toadfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hi all, I've got 2 Batrachus Trispinosus, 1 I've had for about 2 wkks & the other about 6. The latest one is much more active than the 1st & even snapped at my Shark cats but didn't do any harm, think it was surprised by them swimming by & snapped out of habbit as doesn't do it any more! ;). They are lovely to watch, very moody looking & fast at 'gulping' when something swims by. I've also got them in with my 2" Datanoid Multi' & everything seems fine. All such lovely fish! I'm not sure whether to try any Chromides (Ethropus Maculatus) with them though! What you lot think?

They had a toadfish
9but labeled as a freshwater lion fish) in my local shop every time another fish went near it, it let out a low grunting sound, i was also told it required an amount of salt to keep it happy, as was mainly a brackish species.

There's a toadfish temporarily in our community tank (was labeled as freshwater lionfish). Will be getting a brackish tank soon.

Anyways, a 6" bichir just swam past it and it tried to go for it... didn't hurt it though. (The bichir is actually longer than the lionfish.)

Point is, it's fearless.
