I've exchanged a couple emails with the guys at Rehoboth aquatics. Just sucks doubling the price for the bichir just for shipping. But I guess if thats what it's gonna take, thats what I have to do.

I wouldn't be surprised if you LFS would charge more than Rehoboth if they had the poly in stock. If you order a few, even with shipping, you may even be better off price wise than the LFS.

I can definitely believe that. So far they haven't been too bad. $45 for a 5 inch ornate and $47 for a 5 inch delhezi. Now the other store charged $29 for a 3 inch albino. The first store quoted me $39 for a retropinnis, which I didnt think was too bad. But I also don't have anything to compare them too.

Your LFS will charge more than Toyin, but after shipping you'll be paying more than your LFS. Keep after them at the store and remind them to order. I had to go to my LFS many a times before my requests started getting filled (sorta like they wanted to make sure I was a regular and would really show up to order this fish they'd never carried before).

And hey, if worse comes to worse, drive ya butt over here to Dallas and go to my LFS :)

Good luck

P.S. Thought I'd let you know Toyin sells fish occasionally on aquabid.com. His user name is SB and you can get them for a steal. But don't go now. None up yet :)

I'm to the point right now that a trip to Dallas is more and more appealing. I've already made a few trips to Springfield, MO, whichis over 2 hours away, so whats 3 more right?
