Strange Arowana

That looks like a barramundi / aro hybrid  . Cool though.

hello

this aro was not ill treated from day one . owner bought back when he was around 4" Hosted the fella in a 6ftx2.5f(W) x 2ft tank . The only aro in the tank . and 5 parot fishes . Owner do 30 % water change weekly . feed the fella twice a day until recently once a day.

I suspect the fish was is hv a gene disorder that cause it to be like that . This is the second aro i seen that look like this . The second 1 was in a Aro farm .:)

If that aro is only 2 years old, it has had a really hard life.
Just think how awesome he could have been if he was in better condition.

I m writing from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia .

This fish is a Red Tail Gold Arowana aka Indonesia Gold ..

Any offer for this fella pls pm me .. Owner hv indicate to me the fish is for sale ;)

unique looking, I'll take him off you hands.......ha ha

its an asian crossback gold that was my guess (no gold color up to fourth level, blue-based with really thick scale frame and the fins arent that of red-tail). are you sure? i think its stunted. too small tank i guess and seldom water changes as evident on wrinkled gill plate. guys, this aro would have been magnificent if had been taken cared of properly, it has a really high back and thick body frame. thats if its normal. if what youre saying is accurate, then this guy is really a very unique specimen

When i said 'WTH is wrong with it' i meant what caused it to look that way. my fault for not being clear....but yea...weird fish...

since its "unique" would it cost more than an RTG? Or less cuz of its ummm...not to be mean...uglyness....?

did it ever jump out of the tank.. seems it broke it's back. color is really unique.. maybe a mix of black aro and asian? few days ago another person post a jardini that is totally black also. is this becoming a trend???:screwy:

dude, you cant mix south americans and asian aros;)
