strange behaviour

hi my giant gourami is acting strange it swims around when im near tank but when i walk away it just lies down on the gravel when it sees anyone else he starts swimming around as normal has any one got any ideas whats going on?

ther was a pacu in with him but they kept on fighting so i took him out since then hes been acting strange

Maybe he wants to be fed. Have you cut down his meals?

Is he the only fish in your tank now? or is there other fishes? How long has it been since you removed the pacu?

pacu gone two weeks i have a giraffe catfish getting an arrowanna soon

it could be that he is just bored

I don't think that is a good sign as its not normal for a giant gourami to lay down. If its still feeding then that's good but keep a close eye on it. It could be you have an odd gourami
