lots of catfish make noises. But you catfish is awesome and he will grow on you. Ive seen them a few times and they are fun to watch

They were introduced into Florida waters in the 1980s and now you can find them in many canals as far north as Orlando or higher. The government has not listen them as an invasive species yet but I am sure they will soon.

I've had mine for about 4 to 5 years now. Great fish and with those scales they are unphased by other more aggressive fish. I had a JD and Nile Tilapia both in a tank with it and it just goes along on its almost never ending hunt for food. There are 4 different types of hoplo that I know of. Port (what you and I have), Black Port, Salt and Pepper/Spotted and the lighter colored Clay Hoplo. I'd keep it. I wasn't crazy about mine at first but they do have great personality and like previously stated they are damn near indestructible.

not its not adult size its stilla juvenile for sure, only just hitting 4 inchs, these grow to 7inchs :)

those guys are closely related to Corydoras. For some reason they are not as popular in US. Here in Ukraine, they are as common as regular cories

I have one that has grown from 1" to about 6". My favorite catfish because it doesn't hide and is very personable. Eats from my hands and doesn't bother any fish. Nice pickup. As mine got bigger the color lightened and it is actually a really cool fish.

When I bought mine it was $5.99. Depending on its size I'd say at most you could get maybe $10
