Strange cycle?

Cycle doesnt produce Ammonia, your fish do that. Cycle should cause a nitrite spike, but it usually takes more than a week. Keep doing whatever WC's you need to keep your fish alive, but dont do anything drastic. Your dumping of the Cycle bottle isnt really an issue, but it could be with many other products, so try not to do that anymore...

A lot of the quick cycle solutions are nothing more than a bottle of bacteria and aqueous ammonia for them to feed on. Is this the case with Cycle, I don't know.

Again, his cycling only started a week ago. Just be patient & add whatever BB you like. I've used most of the common ones, but I dont have a favorite. In fact, I'm using dry Biozyme now. It works very well, but they all do.
