Hi guys
I just bought my first two datnoides. The store owner had no idea what kind of fish he sold me and he got them under the name "dragonfish". He thought they were the same sp. but you can clearly see that one is a Silver dat and the other is a diffrent kind. First I was certain that it was a D. microlepis, but then I noticed that his two "mid-stripes" join at the his belly. I know its hard without pictures and i will post soon, but what do you think? Is it a IT if the stipes join like that or something else? Crossbreding maybe?

And another thing, just to check if i got a good price. For the 3' microlepis and the 2' polota I paid 20 dollars. It's a fair price right? We don't usually get dats here in sweden...

Thanks

Price sounds good and by what your saying with the bars that dat sounds like an IT. Indo dats are the most common with the different bar patterns. Ive only seen one NTT with a odd pattern and that guy is on here somewhere. Try to post a pic.

yeah most likely an IT.... but for its price its a good buy... lucky you... back here in the Philippines theres no supply of IT since early 08 upto now.... mostly NTT's and AT's are available here...

I see.... so its like IT's are becoming really rare too... have read and saw some post here that some can still buy IT's in really small sizes like 3-4in.... thats why i thought that ITs are still bieng sold in other countries...

One of my IT's has a Y-bar pattern just on one side, if maybe thats what your describing. My other IT has just the straighter stripes though. Heres a pic for reference.
