Since no one else is willing to take the blame.....

I'll take the wrath of being a 90's kid (I mean young adult)

IM LAZY AND WANT EVERYTHING HANDED TO ME ON A SILVER PLATTER.

You other 90's people aren't representing the cause and should be ashamed of yourself, WE ARE THE GENERATION OF WE DESERVE IT BECAUSE WE WANT IT.

Whoa way to stereotype! that's fallicious! But every group is a different breed every person iis different so that's a hasty generalization. Shouldn't the "kids" be a welcoming sign showing that the hobby is appealing to a younger generation and keeping it Alive?

This thread is pretty silly. To the op do you just mean different from you and in a negative way then its a silly thread.

love your avatar...lol

Just had a thought....the 90's and 80's generation should team up and overthrow the 70's generation and we can live off unemployment and hot pockets forever!

Yes, and it gives me faith in humanity that there are "kids" out there interested in the hobby. However, it is a bittersweet victory, as I am also saddened by the regular postings [particularly in the arowana forum] by "kids" who feel they need to bulls*** to gain acceptance and "props" from strangers on the internet, and even more so by the ever-increasing number of young people who seem completely oblivious to the concept of researching something, despite having the world of knowledge at their very fingertips thanks to Google. Does anyone under the age of 20 actually know what an encyclopaedia is?

Kinda sad IMO. The way I see it, "older people" think "kids" won't listen or care about what they have to say. I personally would rather go get a coffee, sit and have a face to face conversation with someone from a older generation, listen to what they have to say and learn what they have to teach. Google cant help you there.

I personally have multiple encyclopedias on fish. None of which say anything about trying a wc with cool water to get a stubborn pair of angel fish to spawn. Something that you would only learn from someone that has been keeping fish for 30-40 years. Just as a vague example.

The Internet can be handy, but takes away from the personal interaction with each other I think.

I might as well be a 90s baby (July '89) and I work full time, college full time, I am a home owner, i have a car payment, and I make time and money for this hobby. I don't expect a pat on the back either for doing work, I know what is expected of me and I just do it. It's these lazy people that don't work at all and expect a food stamp check and assisted living that erk me. You think you deserve all of this for being alive? I have to bust my *** so my tax dollars can go towards these types of people... SMH

Every generation has its good and its bad apples... the reason people probably think 90's kids are so bad, is most likely because the majority of the bad 90's kids are the ones that hang on the internet forums etc, while the ones that work hard are doing just that, working hard...

BTW, i'm an 80's baby... just trying to put things into perspective, since i've seen plenty of extremely successful 90's kids...
