I have them in the only tank in the house that lacks ponds snails, and I don't have them in the tanks that do have snails. They are hard, you guys are right. Hydra wouldn't be hard. I need to get my scope out.

Mar 20, 2011 #13 thanks for the replies. there are no snails or snail eggs near this filter and i cant remember ever having any snails in this tank either. still any time ive seen snails ive not seen anything like this, they would have to be big snails lol you cant tell so well from the pic but that is a fairly large area about 6 - 8" square ( inside wall of an fx5 )
