Strange lump on the back of by ray

Hey guys,

I noticed a think lump hump bump thing on my stingrays back. I know she cannot be pregnant. Does annyone have an idia what this can be?

Possibly a tumor? Did this just pop up or slowly over time? Acting normal? Any chance she ate a tank mate?

There are only some small plecos around that she couldt eat. But i think i still have them all. I dint notice annything on her 3 days ago!

I would check it all Pleco's are still around. if they are, it could be a Tumor like Scott said.

Agreed too fast for what you would normaly expect from a tumor. An absess could appear that quickly however so it could be a localized infection. Similar to a boil type infection.

He said he didn't notice it 3 days ago so it could have gotten bigger to the point it was noticeable but you are right Nero, absess seems more likely.

Her back is beeing lifted in the air all of the sudden! All the way to the survice
